This tour is designed for those interested in experiencing a short ride on the Japanese Bullet Train, with a round trip from Tokyo to Mishima, located at the foot of Mt. Fuji in Shizuoka Prefecture. You can enjoy a pleasant 45-minute ride on the Bullet Train each way. The tour uses non-reserved seating. We also offer special rates for those with a valid Japan Rail Pass. Upon arrival at Mishima Station, we will explore this beautiful local city, including the 1,300-year-old Shinto shrine, Mishima Taisha, and Rakujuen Park. Mishima Taisha is one of the oldest and most important Shinto shrines in the area, with a history spanning over 1,300 years. It was respected and admired by numerous samurai warlords, including Minamoto no Yoritomo, the founder of the Kamakura Shogunate government. You can enjoy a very tranquil and sacred atmosphere within the shrine precincts, and you will also learn how Shinto influences Japanese lifestyle and culture. Additionally, there is a deer park on the property where you can feed deer crackers to the resident deer. After visiting the shrine, we can enjoy Japanese-style lunch at a restaurant near the shrine (optional).
